By nutritionist Esther Blum, MS, RD, CDN, CNS These guilt-free cocktails are especially fabulous to serve when you’re hosting other pregnant friends or if you’re feeling celebratory and in the mood to hear the clink of a champagne flute.

Pomegranate Mimosa (which Thalia likes to call the Mommy-granate Mimosa)
1 glass sparkling cider
½ ounce pomegranate juice
Lemon peel for garnish

Pour the sparkling cider into a champagne flute. Add the pomegranate juice. Garnish with the lemon peel or drop it right into the drink.

Baby Bellini
2 ounces peach nectar
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
Chilled sparkling cider

Pour the peach nectar and the lemon juice into a champagne flute. Stir well. Add cider to the remainder of the glass. Stir again gently.

Wine Time
In the mood for wine? Navarro Vineyards in Mendocino, California, makes a fantastic nonalcoholic “wine” (a grape juice, really) that did the trick for me smashingly whenever I was in the mood to raise a glass. Try the Gewürztraminer 2006 variety.
