What is a nursing necklace?

A nursing necklace is a necklace designed for breastfeeding babies to play with while mom nurses. Once your baby gets to be a few months old, you may have problems with her pulling your hair, scratching you or pinching you. Nursing necklaces are great for distracting your baby while she nurses. They aren’t just for breastfeeding babies either! Bottlefeeding babies like them too.

Supplies needed for nursing necklace
- Leather lace 24 ins
-Stone pendent (doughnut shaped)

How to Make Nursing Necklace

1- Tie the leather onto the stone as shown in picture. This should not come undone and hurt the baby.
Safety issue: Make sure the stone is big enough that the baby cannot get it into it's mouth or choke on it.

2- Determine the length you need it to be and tie a simple but sturdy knot with the ends. As the baby gets bigger you can always adjust the length.
