Valentine Fruit Garnish Ideas

So you are planning your child's Valentine's Day party and looking for some fun, easy, and inexpensive ideas? Why not try sprucing up your party with some fruit.

To make these easy garnishes, you can use any fruit that would be easy to cut. Any type of melon would be good for this project. Other fruits you could use for this would be a large grapefruit, kiwi, lemon or lime.

You can cut the fruits in any shape you would like. To do this project with your kids, be sure to use simple shapes like hearts, circles, or triangles.

Once you cut out the shapes cut a thin slit in the fruit and gently slide it on the edge of your cup.

Tip: Because these fruits may be a little heavier than the cup, you may want to fill the cup before adding the fruit garnish. To avoid spilling, have the kids take the garnish off the cup before drinking.
