Awesome!!! I am a huge supporter of breastfeeding.....My son was BF exclusively for 9 months, but then had to be supplemented with formula at daycare, although not much because I couldn't always keep up with him pumping.

He turns one on Tuesday and is currently on cows milk during the day, but nurses at night before bed and often 2-3 times during the night, also for comfort.

I love all the places you nursed your son!!! Such a great job mama, you should be so proud of yourself!

I love your story! I had so much trouble nursing with my first son and my family was not supportive at all! I should take that back - my husband was very supportive, but with him being a new dad and me a new mom, we just didn't know what to do. His family and my family just kept saying "just use formula it is so much easier". I really tried to stick with it, and supplemented for a while, but didn't nurse nearly as long as I wanted - lord knows I have enough equipment :-) but it didn't last long. With my second child, I was much wiser and didn't listen to my family. I'm happy to say nursing my second son went terrific and so glad I did it! What a great bonding experience and all the health benefits to boot!

Congratulations on hitting one year! That is a great accomplishment and you should be very proud! Your breastfeeding journey with your son sounds much like mine with my first daughter. I was so happy when things clicked almost immediately with my second and they were so much easier. Thank you for also sharing your nursing pictures with us, they are beautiful!
