It’s that time of year. And this year, I’m so thankful.

Thankful for this small patch of earth that God has lent to us to grow in. Thankful for the smell of fresh air through a window screen. Thankful to see the stars for the first time in three years.

I’m thankful for the safety and the quiet.

For my family.

And I pray I do this garden right so that I can stop spending so much freaking money at Safeway.
