I am still exploring all the apps that are out there. There are so many apps that it you kind of have to know what you are looking for to find them. I have found several that I like and one that I LOVE! These are all free apps. I am probably going to buy some apps soon but I figured I would start with the free ones.
This is my list of my favorite free android apps:
#1 OI Shopping List – This is a grocery shopping app. I absolutely love it. It is my most used and most favorite app so far and it will probably continue to be my favorite app. You can create multiple shopping lists with it. What I have done is create one master list for all my Meijer grocery shopping and one for all my Walgreens shopping. I tag each item with the department it is in, the price, and the date I bought it. I use this as a master price list so I can check back to see when I got the best price on different things. It is a great way to keep track of patterns on sales. I also create a new list each week for my shopping. I can put exactly what I need on the list with the quantity and price. It tallies everything up for you so I can know before I even get to the store how much I am going to spend. As I do my shopping, I check items off as I shop and it gives me a total of what I have checked off. It is so awesome!
#2 My Honey Days – This app will help you keep track of your periods. You can also use it for bbt charting, but since I have given up charting I haven’t really tried this out. Since I no longer chart, I have found myself forgetting when my period is due and this drives me crazy. Now I always know when my next period is due.
#3 To Do Lite – I am still looking for the best app for goal setting and planning. I downloaded quite a few apps that I ended up just deleting because they were too confusing. This app is really easy to use and is great for writing daily to do lists. I would like to find something more advanced for goal setting but this is perfect for writing my daily goals and prioritizing them. I also use it to jot down notes for myself.
#4 Kids Eat Free – I am really working hard on being more money conscious. We don’t go out to eat often but when we do we like to save money. This app will tell you all the restaurants near you where kids eat free.
#5 Flashlight – This may seem like a kind of dumb app but I really like it and have used it several times already. What it does is it turns your phone into a flashlight by making the screen bright white. It really comes in handy.
#6 Apps Organizer – I don’t have a ton of apps installed yet, but my kid have gone crazy and installed a bunch of games on my phone. I don’t really mind but having so many apps that I don’t use has made it difficult to find the ones I need. I downloaded this app to organize all my apps. It’s nice because you can label all your apps and then make shortcuts to get to just the apps you need.
#7 Photoshop.com Mobile – This is a really neat tool for editing your photos right on your phone. With this you can crop, adjust the lighting and color on your photos, add borders and affects. Then you can upload your photo to photoshop.com, Facebook, or twitter. It is really easy to use.
#8 Phoneflix – If you use Netflix this is a great app to have. You can check and update your Netflix queue right from your phone.
#9 Craigslist – We use Craiglist to find all kinds of things. You can use this app to post listings or to search for things. I mostly use it to find things. You can create a search and then save it. Then all you have to do is open your app and click on your saved search to see if anything new is listed.
#10 Sherpa – This app will tell you what’s going on around you. Are you looking for a place to get coffee? Some place to take the kids? What about the nearest gas station? This app is great for traveling.
