What are you and your Toddler reading before bed?
Oh boy! This is an awesome topic…. You want the truth? Nothing. She doesn’t read anything before she goes to sleep. Haha. Story time is when her big sister goes to bed at 8 o’clock! Eli’s bed time isn’t until a few hours later and she goes to bed in daddy’s arms. I’ve been trying to get him to stop, but he doesn’t. Plus he doesn’t get out of work till like midnight some nights so I usually go to bed a bit after he gets home. So he’s the one that puts her to bed, I’m usually super tired by then. There was one night that I put her to bed, she cried and cried…. Why? Because I laid her down in her crib, where she’s suppose to fall asleep. Anyways, this is a hot topic for me.

Here are the girls right before their routine…
Pumped up!! We had just got The Little Looster in the mail
(review coming SOON!)!

But back to reading before bed. Vet goes to sleep every night at 8pm. She takes a bath, does the whole routine, I get Eli in her pj’s too! Brush teeth and they both jump in Vets bed and get ready to read a book. I love to read from bottom to top, so we’ve almost read every book about 3 times… and Vet has an awesome book collection! She has about 50+ books and Eli has about 15! So we rotate reading toddler books, which Vet usually votes against, to reading level 1-3 books. Vet usually loves to jump in and read a few pages before she starts to get sleep. But is Eli sleepy? NO! LOL
But there is a special reading time for Eli, but it’s not at night…. During the day, right after Eli wakes up is when I read to her. While I read she stretches and yawns and then we start our day. It’s always great because she loves to cudle and flip the pages when I read to her. (There’s no one ever there to take a picture of us, but I’ll get one soon!) Everyone is at work or school by then…….. PARTY! lol
Thanks for stopping by! Thanks to the hosts for picking me as one of the Highlighted Blogs this week! Just wanted to let ya’ll know to spread the word about my Fantastic Fan Giveaway happening soon on my fan page & also I have a reader survey if you wouldn’t mind taking it! ((Info for both of these are on the top right in the side bar!))
Suggested topic for… whenever: “It’s time to CLEAN UP!” Do they listen to mommy/daddy?
