Here is a great way to use some of that candy corn that always seems to be lying around during and after the Halloween season. I am not a fan of candy corn myself, but my husband and kids loved these.
You will need:
- Muffin tin
- Cookie sheet
- Lollipop sticks
- Candy corn
We used a non stick muffin tin and cookie sheet. If you don’t have the non stick variety you will want to use a little cooking spray.
Arrange your candy corn in the muffin tin. We used 8 pieces of candy corn per muffin cup. When we made these we thought it would melt in the pretty candy corn pattern you see below, it did not, so feel free to dump the 8 pieces of candy corn in there however you wish.
Place in the oven at 350 degrees until melted together. For us, it took only about 5 or 6 minutes. The candy corn will rise and bubble a little bit. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
When the candy corn is cool, remove from muffin pan and break off any leftover crust on the edges. Take care not to crack the now-brittle candy. You will be left with something that resembles a candy corn disk. Place the disks on a baking sheet with a lollipop stick under each one.
Pop this back in the oven at 250 degrees for a few minutes until the candy starts to melt over the stick. Remove from oven. Allow to cool and remove from the cookie sheet.
A perfect Halloween treat!
