Up until now, I haven’t had the ability to do anything with my phone except call someone. No fancy shmancy stuff. Just plain and boring. Well, I decided to bring along the fancy phone when Todd and I went to go see Cirque de Soleil on Saturday, a big birthday date. I thought it would be fun to chrono the date as we went along and it gave me the chance to play with some apps I hadn’t familiarized myself with.

First stop was dinner at a fancy restaurant. I decided it was important to snap a picture of both Todd and I, unfortunately, not together. Funny thing is that Todd only pulled out his phone when I pulled out mine. Don’t worry, he put it back up after I took pics.

I was totally stoked to get the new phone. There was a bit of a mix up when I received my phone so I ended up taking it to Best Buy to exchange it. When Todd got home, I took off to the Best Buy. I got to the Best Buy and the customer service was great! They were totally interested in how I got the phone and my blog. They were also very good about making the exchange work even though we ran in to a kink or 2. Luckily, they all had a good sense of humor. Of course, I had to get a gel thing case-a-mu-bobber to protect the darn thing. It’s burnt orange, GOOOOOOOO LONGHORNS! I thought it was perfect timing, we were going out-of-town for a wedding and I was going to “get to know my phone” during the drive. Again, that luck thing. My internet stuff didn’t work. The texting, FABULOUS! I love having a full keyboard. The keys are a bit small and I’m still getting use to it but I still have some major love for my new Blackberry when it comes to texting. Oh, and the camera…I gotta say I like it. Way better than my old phone because you can actually tell what the picture is. HECK YEAH! I even got an app that is for Photobucket so I can upload directly my account when I take a picture I actually like! What is left to discover? The internet capabilities. I’ll be working on it. Playing with it. Texting some more and taking pics of my adorable kids and posting them on Facebook. I’ve got a free 30 day trial for unlimited internet through T-Mobile and because the Blackberry is equipped to use wi-fi (how cool is that?!?!), if I choose not to continue with the internet services via T-Mobile, I’ll still be able to use my Blackberry anywhere wi-fi is offered. Since I am home much of the day, this is a cool option to have! Let’s see what the future brings! I am liking my new Blackberry and hoping we get to know one another better in the coming days and weeks.
