The 10 Most Influential Kid Bloggers Out There

Thursday, September 27th, 2012 by by JM Guest Blogger

I thought I would take a break from my usual sharing of budget friendly kids crafts, to highlight who I feel are are the 10 most influential kid bloggers out there today. Before I get to my list, I thought I should define what an influential kid blogger is, and why you should be reading them.

What: An influential kid blogger is, firstly, a blogger who writes about kid related topics and issues. They provide new and exciting ideas for activities, crafts and play. They offer parenting advice and inspire readers to take action. They have a large following they have acquired over the years (both their blogs and social media sites) and a devoted readership who comment and interact frequently on their posts.

Why you should be reading them: Simply put, ideas and inspiration. I feel like I have become a more engaged, intentional mom thanks in large part to these women here and those who write the numerous kid blogs I read each day. Also, these ladies are real. They are moms. And they get it.

There are tons of great kid bloggers out there. I like to think that I do okay. But when I looked at the above criteria, these 10 bloggers jumped into my head. Not every kid blogger aspires to be an influential blogger, but it’s hard not to be inspired or impressed by what these ladies have done.

So without further ado, here is my list, in alphabetical order, just to be fair: (more…)

Flavoring my Day!

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010 by by Rachel

Last Thursday, I was invited to attend an mom’s night event sponsored by Aquafina and Mom Central.  The event was held at the fabulous Red Maple restaurant in the Mt. Vernon area of Baltimore.  It was really a nice treat for me!  I got to meet other Maryland/DC area bloggers and had delicious hor d’oeuvres and I won’t even mention the chocolate mousse filled strawberries, and especially how many of them that I consumed.  Nope, I won’t mention them at all.  But let me just say, 6 felt like 1, so I don’t really feel bad about having 6.

The purpose of the night was to introduce us to Aquafina Flavor Splash and the theme of the night was how each of us flavored our day.  Usually for me that is a can of Diet Dr. Pepper, but I have to tell you the Flavor Splash water is really good.  My favorite is the Strawberry Kiwi and if you have a little real strawberries and kiwis to put in it, yeah.  Really good stuff.  At the end of the night I got to take home some Flavor Splash and other goodies and also a few coupons for free 6-packs of Flavor Splash, which I’m gonna share with one of you!

Just leave a comment to this post and tell me what it is you do to flavor your day, whether it’s a big mug of coffee (more…)

WKRPatty in Cincinnati!

Thursday, April 16th, 2009 by by pattyandthemoos

Guess what I am doing next week? I am going to Pampers Mom and Dad Blogger Day in Cincinnati. How cool is that? I am going to be meeting some other mommy bloggers and going to Procter & Gamble’s headquarters to hear a little about Pampers. I think it will be a lot of fun and I am pretty excited. I will be sure to take pictures and let you know what I am up to.

I could have flown, but flying is another one of my many phobias. I used to enjoy flying when I was younger. My mom was in the Navy and was stationed overseas so I have been to a few places. I fly when I have to though. If I can avoid it I drive. So that is what I am doing.

My whole crew is going with me; of course, they won’t be going to the actual event. I figure Kelly can take the kids to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden while I am attending the event. I am hoping the kids have some fun and that my honey can handle them all by himself. He usually does just fine; actually he does better than me. They don’t abuse him the way they do me and he also doesn’t get stressed out about every little thing like I do. I feel kind of sad about not getting to go the zoo with them but I think it might be a nice time for some daddy bonding.

I am really excited and hope I have lots of fun. I will let you know how it goes!
