I do love cards with puns, so it was fun to come up with this one for Father’s Day. Just a snip here and a snip there, and you have a cute vest for Dad. It’s so easy!

Why not create a completely customized card for the “Vest” Dads in your life. Does Dad have a favorite tie? Try to duplicate it. Is his closet all the same color? Use that color for the vest. Is he passionate about a favorite sport, like baseball? Cover the tie with baseball stickers/stamps, use a baseball patterned paper, or pick colors from his favorite team. He’ll know for sure you made the card just for him.

So grab some paper, scissors, and letter stamps, and let’s get started! (more…)

Father’s day gift from the kids

On a budget?  Don’t know what the kids should give their dad for Father’s Day?  I’ve got an idea for you!  Let the kids paint him a Tie T-shirt.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A solid color t-shirt
  • Freezer paper (you can find this at the grocery store)
  • Acrylic craft paint
  • Fabric medium (this will be at a craft store near the craft paints)
  • Paint brush(es) – I like the cheap foam ones
