Can you wear a tampons with a nuvaring??

to the board!! Glad to have you here. And with your question about wearing a tampon with the Nuvaring, I believe that you can. I looked some stuff up about it and you can wear one. Im not sure why you would need to though because you are supposed to have it in for 3 weeks and out 1 week and that would be when you should have your period. Unless you are still having it after the week is up and you have your Nuvaring back in and thats what you are talking about. But yes, you can wear a tampon with your Nuvaring. GL!!! Just be careful when taking the tampon out so you don't take the Nuvaring out with it!! Welcome to the board again!!!

My package insert says you can. Just make sure it stays in.

As far as the period...I take mine out on Tuesday and my period doesn't start until Saturday. I bleed heavy for about 24 hours after I put the Nuva Rig back in. (So sometime Wednesday my period ends).

Your period should come after taking the nuvaring out, but if you were to get your period it would be fine to use tampons. I am currently using the nuvaring and my period came on a Thursday and I wasn't supposed to take the nuvaring out until Sunday so I had to have both tampon and nuvaring in.
