What sort of biochemical treatments specifically?
Testing for and eliminating food allergies, medications (like those that decrease serotonin), special diet (such as GFCF) and/or food and vitamin supplements (like B-6)? There are so many things people have suggested to me but none his doctor has encouraged, although she didn't discourage most of them, just the diets, as his is already so self-restricted.

what i'm talking about is the bio medical treatments from like the dan doctors..there is an autism learning center near my town...the lady has came and evaluated justin at school...and i talked with her she suggested that we try the bio medical treatments..his insurance doesn't cover it..however..all these women have taken their kids to the dan doctors come back comparing a list of different natural things to try...that is the same thing as what the dan doctors give their children..we recently took justin off of singulair..in dec..he is behaving so much better...i didn't even put the two together..even his teachers and special ed lady says he doesn't have to come to her as much because he's much calmer asking me what we were doing different. i didn't put the two together til two weeks when i totally realized that we had taken him off the singulair..so i'm just kind of wondering should i try it or not i have everything i need to get started on them..the doc says they are safe because everything is natural..but i just wanted some opinions...
thanks

I have no opinion because I really have no idea what kind of treatment you are considering, also natural isn't synonymous with safe - many natural things can be as harmful as they can be helpful, or have no effect at all. What exactly are you supposed to give him? I would do lots of research about the treatment on my own, other than DAN sites, look for as much unbiased info as possible - but that's me, I'm a skeptic, and research everything myself.
I will be interested in hearing more about what you are trying and how it works!

They gave me a list of things and went over them with me..telling which everyone did and how they helped...i have the list..i'll get it tomm and post a list of what they told me to give him..i'm just really skeptic as well..i know one was like the kiddiecalmer? it came from like a website online..it's suppose to calm their behavior down..but honestly i hate to interfere with him at the moment because i'm so afraid it will make him behave worse..since i took him off the singulair his behavior is like 300% better at least on most days..he's not as on edge as he was...if that makes sense...i was going to start it this week but i can't bring myself to do it..they have his sp ed teacher asking me about it now and i told her i have read about it all..and was going to look into it..i think i'm going to tell them don't ask me about it again ...because i'm scared it will mess his good behavior up..his teacher even came out to the car this week and said Justin is really doing so good in the classroom..he's not throwing fits or objects anymore..although he was a little grouchy but nothing compared to what he was..so i'm going to continue to give it some thought..
i'll get on tomm and post some of the things listed for you..just so you can research it for yourself..from what i was told by other parents and the lady at alc it had really changed behaviors in their children..they gave me a percentage of kids it helped some it didn't nothing at all...we'll see

I'm not quite sure what you are talking about but for us the GF/CF diet worked wonders.

Within the first week his tantrums were cut in half and he started to be more vocal. This diet has made a world of difference in my son. I know it's the diet. Even now if we're out and we give him a muffin or something that has gluten I know I will face 3 or more days of tantrums, no words and complete meltdowns as well as stimming. Cameron barely stims at all now.

It would really depend what those 4 things are, whether they are gluten or casein products.
That is why Gus' doctor said we shouldn't do it - his diet is already so limited, eliminating gluten & casein would leave him with just apple juice and peanut butter - it would be unhealthy for him.
Thanks for listing all that - I will take a look at it later!

well, he only eats noodles, nuggets(he can't stand meat of any kind other than this) pizza..and egg wraps..which are scramble eggs with cheese that's it? so it is so difficult getting him to try anything new..he smells it..touches it..and he will tell you in a quick hurry that he isn't eating that it stinks..lol
so i don't know about it

Yes we are GF/ CF, use supplements and chelation. It works wonders in more ways than I can explain. It is a full time job, but completely worth it. We've had huge gains with biomedical and ABA in our home.
