My name is Christina and I am 32. I am not so happily married and will be getting divorced sooner rather then later. I am a SAHM and I live in Lancaster county, PA. I have two boys. Jay is 3 and Jonathan is 2. Jay is the one with Autism. He is in the middle of the spectrum. He was dx about 4 months before he turned 3. Right now he is a Autism support class 4 days a week for 2.5 hours. He gets speech and Occupational therapy at school.

I plan on becoming a paraeducator and working with special needs kids.

Hi Erin. I'm Danelle, mommy to Freddy, my ASD child who's 4 and Sammy, who is 6 months. I'm married to Ken, 25, and we live in IN. We just had my son dx'd with the Early Childhood program in my state and he'll be starting preschool next week.
Welcome to the board! I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you ladies with multiple ASD kids. It takes a lot of strength just to care for one special needs child. Some days, PBS is my best friend. Since I'm new, I have no advice. I know patience is one of the keys to having a positive relationship with your children. But even though Freddy has been this way his whole life and I just got a diagnosis now, I feel so new and lost yet.
I hope to see you around here more!

Hi Erin, I'm Crissy, mom to 5 year old (in 3 weeks) Angus aka Gus aka Pickle, my little man with autism, and his brother Jack, 7, and sisters Mia Bella, 6, Sydney, 2, and one more on the way (due Feb 14th).
We are in WA state as well, Whidbey Island. My husband of 13 years, Andy, is Navy, he is also my best friend and an awesome dad. My family is very supportive, we are very fortunate.
Gus is our only little one on the spectrum, although we have been told by Jack's doctor that he may have ADHD or ODD but we haven't followed up with those suggestions for an official Dx as we don't agree.
Angus is verbal now cheer.gif and gets an hour of ST once a week, the other 4 days of the week he gets 30 min ST and 30 min OT as part of his day at his special needs preschool.

Nice to meet you and welcome to the board!

Hi, my name is Meliss and I have been married to DH Tom for 31/2 years but have known him for 15. We have my son Zachary who is on the spectrum. He will be 3 this month and we live in Minnesota. We are working on a brother or sister for him, which is how I found this board.

For therapies he recieves 3 hours of class time from the school district + one in home visit from his teacher per week. Speach and OT 2x per week and therputic swim lessons 1x per week. He also gets 20 hours of ABA in home per week. We also do biomedical treatments such as chelation, GF/CF diet and supplements. He is doing well. He was just retestd by the shcool district and does not qualify for services any longer in most area's. He will still get them becaue of his autism diagnosis so we are really excited.
