I have times where I still have a hard time excepting Jay having Autism. Its not a denial thing but more of I never thought my family and my son would be going through this. Am I the only one?

Not anymore but I used to have those days. Gus was Dx'ed 2 ½ years ago though, we have had plenty of time to get used to it, and he has made soooo much progress in that time. I am sometimes fearful for his future, but also hopeful!

I have 2 ASD children and sometimes i wonder why they deserve to be this way? I tend to feel quilty and that its my fault... I accept them and love them for who they are and I am long past acceptance of ASD as its been 5 yrs since we were told ASD the first time. I agree that I do worry more about what things are to come...

Of course my biggest worry is what will be in the future. I never thought this would happen either, its weird. And there are moments when I feel denial and insist that he will be off the spectrum someday since he is making such progress in his therapies. I just wish I had a crystal ball and new what is going to happen. LOL.

I feel this way too...
It's hard.. because on days where he's doing really good.. I find myself saying 'See Mel, he's fine.. yah.. he's fine..' and then it's usually at that very moment where he'll do something that will snap me right back into reality..
