I know there are like a hundred topics on Mirena, but I have a few questions. I just got it for the first time on Jan 12, and I am bleeding. The blood is like a dark dark brown, did anyone else have that? How long did you bleed constantly. I am just spotting, but it's like everynight I get a big flow and the rest of the time it's spotting. Also, has anyone else expierenced headaches? I have been having them, but I don't know if it's from this.. can you all share your expierences? Do you or did you like it? Oh, my friend had said she has known quite a few women to get pregnant while on it... anyone have or heard of this?

I don't have it. But since it is a pretty usual subject on here I have learned a thing or two about it. Yes the headaches can be a side effect from it. And you can have bleeding for quite a while with the mirena until your body gets used to it. I would definately check out the mirena website and look at all the other mirena posts that have been put on here. It may help you out a bit! GL and welcome to the board!

I have the Mirena. I had spotting/bleeding for about 2 months after getting it. It tapered off for a long time. I did have headaches but I am used to migraines so they weren't terribly bad. From what I have read and heard from people, your situation seems pretty normal. = )

Yes, I have heard of people getting preggo with the Mirena. It scares the crap out of me from time to time!
