It never occurred to me to wear anything other than a hospital gown during the c section. Did you wear your own gown??
And can I just say that I'm SO glad to have someone as visible as Tori Spelling allow cameras to be a part of the birth as much as possible? I never watched the show before, but a friend made me

And I found that...omg...I like her even more, and could he be a more involved daddy?
Good show, and I was impressed.
Anyway, about the gown?...

I know most moms stay in the hospital gown but I went out and bought some cheapy night gowns at WalMart to wear because I needed to be in my own stuff. I hate hospital gowns and am not comfortable in them.
As for Tori and Dean I've only ever seen 1-2 episodes and she wasn't pregnant. I think the show is ok.

I wore the hospital gowns. It was just easier and less constricting for me. I wore one the proper way, then used a second one and wore it backwards. So the second one was like a bathrobe. Then I didn't have to worry about being exposed in the back.

I wore the hospital gown the day of the surgery and the next day. I'm pretty sure I changed into my own clothes for the next 2 days. The hospital gowns were very comfy! I wore one the proper way and one like a robe too! :)
I LOOOOOOOOVE Tori and Dean! i can't wait for a new season!
I cried when she had her surgery! It was on after max was born and over a year old. I could totally relate to her worries and feelings. It was nice that she brought the cameras in to share her experience.

I saw that episode too! Neat idea about the gown, But I had so much other stuff on my mind, It didnt occur to me to care what I was wearing LOL and I noticed in most of the pictures taken the first couple of days the buttons that make the shoulders were undone and everything was untied hehe, Modesty kinda went out the window for me for a while.

i hate hospital gowns so i wore a tank top with one of those built in bras. i did often wear the hospital gown as a robe but once i was up and out of bed, i wore pj pants and the tank tops. during surgery, they insisted i wear their gown, but i had the tank top on underneath. i hated the idea of not wearing a bra...

I wore the gown the whole time. I think I would have been to scared to wear pants over my incision that soon. (I'm such a baby!) I even wore maternity pants for almost 2 weeks because I was scared to put pressure on my incision! :)
I've never watched Tori and Dean..I think I might now!

That episode was so touching and made me tear up :) I thought it was awesome she had a spiffy gown that wasn't just an ugly green color. I thought hers was really cute tho.
I think now that I know what to expect for the second c-sec I will bring my own house coat and wear some comfy clothes until I have to change into the gown before surgery.

I wore the hospital gown last time. This time I asked if I could wear something different or at the very least a bra during surgery but was told no. My doc said I will be grounded during the surgery and there can't be any metal in my clothes. I am bringing my own stuff to change into after though. We'll see how soon I change, if it's the same day or the next.
