Well i have been on BC (ortho cyclen) since January. I have taken ALMOSt perfectly (i missed 3 pills..2 of them because i was out later than i planned and didn't have my pills with me and the third because i'm a klutz and dropped it on the floor and wasn't about to pop it in my mouth after that).

Well anyways once i finished my first pack i didn't take the 7 day placebos i just started my next pack. So i ended up not getting a period for this month as i got my period on the 15th of january and it ended on the 20th. Well my DF and i had DTD around 2 weeks ago so about the 17th-18th and about a week ago i got this weird bleeding? It was very light and brown but it didn't feel like a period and i didn't even need a pad but if i decided to put a tampon in it would come out very dark brown but it wasn't like AF dripping out KWIM? then one day i got a very strange cramp on the right side of my tummy but it was gone the next day. So i don't know what to think..i doubt that i'm pregnant but is it possible that maybe my body got confused and that maybe the blood was so dark because of me missing my period due to not taking a break from the hormones of the pill?

I took my last pill yesterday and won't be starting my next pack until sunday as i decided it might be in my body's best interest to take a break from the hormones like you're technically supposed to anyways. What do you ladies think? I do have a doctors appointment tomorrow by coincidence so should i maybe bring this up when i see her? Just top make sure it's no big deal?

I would say your body was just doing that because you decided to start your pack and not take your week off for your period. Your probably fine, but since your going to the doctor it wont hurt to tell him/her what happened and see what they say.

You can however take your pills for up to like 3 months in a row and then break for your period. I take mine 2 months in a row, three months is too much for my body and I have weird periods like you said. So it is a possibiliy that your body was just doing that because it is used to having a period every month.

Gl gir and I hope that everything is ok and def tell your doctor...just for peace of mind!!!! dothug.gif

thanks for the advice! I sort of forgot to bring it up to the doctor though when i was there lol but i think it was just the pills because now since i haven't been taking the pills i am having a semi-normal period just without cramps lol. I think i will probably do it every month as i don't mind taking break from the hormones and letting my body have a period and since i want to start TTC around august-october i don't want to make it any more difficult by confusing my body and what not. I don't really even like being on the pill at all as it's made sex drive horribly low and has made me very dry down there but ya gotta do what ya gotta do ya know dry.gif So i don't a week break from it every month.

Well at least everything seems to be going back to normal that is good. I agree if you are going to start to TTC soon, it would be good to stick to three weeks on one week off. That way it is easier for your body to get back to normal...well hopefully grin.gif GL with TTC though!!!yay!!
