I just started taking bcp on sunday right after my period started. How long do I have to wait to have unprotected sex? Also.. as I was reading through some of the posts.. I noticed that some of you were experiencing depression on bcp. The doc prescribed Orthro Novum for me, I've also been on Lexapro for years for depression.. has anyone experienced depression on this kind of bcp? TIA

I would wait 2 weeks just to be sure. I'm not sure about bc and depression. I would as your dr.

I do believe that ortho novum is the mini-pill, so yes, depression is a side affect as well as violent mood swings and anger issues.
