What do you use when you have AF??

When I was a teenager, I used both but not at the same time. Then I started wearing both pads and tampons at once in case of leaks. And that's what I do now.

I used to be a tampon-only girl, but after having children, I found that they really dried me out and caused irritation. Sooooo....I looked around for a natural alternative. I can't do pads, they feel too bulky and they chafe. Even the cloth ones, although super soft, are just too bulky-feeling. I won't even wear regular underwear because they're too bulky, thongs only.

I found sea sponges. Since I'm on the pill, my af only last a few days and is very light and the sponges don't dry me out like tampons. Plus, they're super soft and conform to your shape, so no cervix rubbing like synthetic tampons. Plus, they don't contribute to waste. You just rinse them out in the sink and re-use them. I also plan to get a diva-cup. I've heard that those last 10+ years. Very good investment for only $35.00.

I put Instead cup but it's really called the Diva Cup. I used the Keeper as well but I prefer the Diva Cup. I haven't used a pad or tampon in almost 2 years and I love it!

I use pads and tampons, but mostly pads. Usually, the tampons are reserved for when I'm wearing a swimsuit or thin clothing. Tampons never used to bother me before I had my first child. After that, I couldn't stand to wear them unless I absolutely needed to.

When I was like 14 I got a tampon stuck up there for like 2 months and had to go to the doc to get it out, since then I have tried tampons a few times since then and just can't do it. I'm all pads even though I hate it because it's like a diaper.

I use the Diva Cup and absolutely love it. It's eco-friendly, economical, more comfortable (IMO) than tampons, and leaves me feeling much cleaner/fresher/more "free" than pads.
