How long did it take for you to notice the gain? was it over a period of time or was it very quickly?

I have the implanon and having it removed next Thursday due to it making my mental illness worse so the worrying about the weight will not be an issue for long.

I first went on the pill in June 2000. The weight gain was noticeable very quickly. I'd say it only took about two months to gain 25 lbs. I know this was entirely due to the pill since I had never been more than 107 lbs. soaking wet and could never gain weight even with weight gainer shakes. But for me, it was a good thing since I wasn't underweight anymore.

I think I noticed it within a couple weeks. I had lost 26 pounds and had kept it off successfully for almost a year. Within two months of going on the pill I had gained 14 pounds without changing anything. I didn't have any problems with the first pills that I was on but they stopped working and they had to keep upping my dosage. Each time they upped my dosage I gained more weight. I finally decided that hormonal birth control is not for me. After this baby is born we'll be using condoms.
