I don't know, usually it's because the layer isn't rasterize, but if it is... I have no idea why it isn't working. Are you trying to apply it to text? Maybe do a screen shot of what you're working on I will try to see if I anything is different...

Which PSP are you using?

To do a screen print on most computer, you have to press the 'prt sc' button on the keyboard that is usually at the top right of your keyboard. Then in PSP, click paste. You should have it there, save it. To be able to post it here, you have to do like you would a picture: upload it to your photobucket account and paste the [img] code in the reply box.

Here is a link to how to install a plug in in PSP X, in case you missed a step:

Hope this help.

Ok, I look at the screenshots (glad you figured it out!), and I can't see all of your text options so I will post mine in case it help you.

One thing, I can think of... is your text created as vector?

Not related, but you should also select your anti-aliasing as smooth... not sharp for nicer text.

Ok, also check this. Click on file > preferences> file locations> plugins

Make sure it looks like this:

Also, are you able to apply a plug in effect to another selection than text? Try with a small picture instead of text, just to see if it is applying it to your text or the use of your plug ins in PSP all the time.

Let me know, we will go from there.

Great, so at least we know your plug ins do work in psp, so it is just your text.

For your text:

- Make sure your text is visible (try different font and color thought that shouldn't matter)
- Make sure your text is rasterize
- Make sure your layer is not locked, and that it is the layer selected
- Make sure your text is selected and that it is not floating text (it will have the marching ants, but it's not the same)

If you can do it on pictures, then it is just something you are doing to your text. If it still doesn't work, maybe you can show me a screen shot of your text bar when you are trying to apply the plug in (no pull down menu open so I can see your text options), similar to the one I posted in my previous message.

If we can't get it to work I will ask Kim to take a look as well, she might have other ideas.
