im thinking about getting my tubes tied, i know i dont want anymore kids right now, but if i decide i want one more 10 years down the road... is it reversible?

They used to be able to make it reversible but now they don't do that. So if you still want more kids in the future I would recommend an IUD. They have the 5 year or the 10 year one. Or DH can get a vestectomy. That is reversible also!

Actually tubal ligation is still quite reversible. its done daily. the essure coils are not reversible but a normal tubal ligation is. however it is expensive to have it reversed.

Successful reversals are done every day - but there are no guarantees about it. The surgery is not meant to be used as long term birth control - it's meant to be permanent.

Do your homework before you make up your mind so you know exactly what the risks are. Tubals can have long term effects on your health, be sure to read up on Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome.

im sorry i was busy doing something else at the time i was posting this too

I had a tubal ligation and a tubal reversal. i was able to get pregnant. i do however have friends who have had tubal reversals and still have not gotten pregnant after months and years of trying. Alot of the time age, habits, and damage to your tubes will prevent a pregnancy after a TR. Its VERY important that you look up post tubal ligation syndrome before you make any decisions. I pm'd you a website OP that you really should look at before making any decisions. If it wasnt for the friends i have made at FTBU i dont know where i would be today

I too have had a Tubal ligation and a Tubal Reversal and am 19 weeks pregnant. It was a long and emotionally painful journey. I also had alot physical side effects from the TL.
