X Factor's Simon Cowell is going to be a dad for the first time at 53. Lauren Silverman, 36, a New York socialite who is also the wife of Cowell's friend real estate mogul Andrew Silverman, is pregnant with Cowell's baby, US Weekly reports.

Simon answered questions from reporters about the delicate situation during an X Factor TCA panel in Los Angeles on Thursday. When reporters offered congratulations to him, he responded with, "Am I missing something?” By his response, it was clear the X Factor judge did not feel congratulations were appropriate. He added, "Unfortunately, I have to keep this for the moment private. It's just one of those things. But thank you very much anyway.

According to Us Weekly, Andrew Silverman has filed for divorce. Lauren and Andrew have one child together.

The baby will be Lauren's second child and Cowell's first.
