I had a spinal block, but from what I was told after (I was pretty much out of it during the whole labour thing, I only remember bits and pieces) that the spinal was done because it worked quicker than the epi.
I got a spinal headache because they nicked the spine and it was very painful. I went back a couple days after I was released and had it patched. Needles don't really bother me, but because they couldn't get an IV in through my arms, hands, they ended up going through my neck. Which was a little bit freaky because I could not see what they were doing.
Once the patch was done, the headaches were gone and I felt great
