Why: This site is a veritable Aladdin’s cave of games, learning activities, music videos, music snippets, jokes, stories and more. Kids can get homework help, look up words, conducts simple science experiments and even send e-cards to friends.
We say: Relevant information, age-appropriate reference links and eye-catching layout make this a winner.


What: Time for Kids

Why: time for Kids is the children’s version of the influential US publication Time magazine. The site is cleanly laid out with readable snippets on global news (in kid-friendly language), games, entertainment, trivia and loads of activities. There’s something for everyone. Around the World features and country of the week in easy-to-read chunks that makes it simple for learning while Rapid research is a Google-esque tool to help with those urgent projects.
We say: As a homework helper, activities-provider and general know-it-all, this is a multitalented site.


What: Enchanted Learning
Where: http://www.enchantedlearning.com
Why: This is a user-friendly site for younger kids who have a keen interest in the internet and technology but need to start with the basics. The site is colourful and makes use of large fonts and text as it covers topics like art activities, languages of the world, maths games, pre-kindergarten entertainment and more.
We say: Excellent edutainment!
