Yeah, because this is exactly what I need!
For the past few months I've been having these weird feelings in my chest every once in a while, like a bubble is filling up and when it pops my heart pounds really hard. It's been happening more frequently, coupled with breathlessness when I'm doing simple things like going up stairs, so I made a doc appointment.
They did an EKG yesterday and said I had a sinus arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) with short
PR intervals (I don't know what those are, I assume the time between heart beats?). I was kind of surprised, whenever I go in about something they always tell me it's just stress or anxiety, so for a moment I had this jubilant feeling like "Whoohoo I'm not anxious!" but then it was like, crap, something's wrong lol
So, I have a cardiology appointment on Friday afternoon, my doc said they might want me to wear a holter monitor which is basically a portable EKG and probably do an echo. They also took blood, so I'm hoping this is something simple like electrolytes being off or anemia. Now I'm just stressing out, b/c if it's not something like anemia, that means I'll either have to just deal with this annoying heartbeat, or there's something structurally wrong with my heart. Gah.
Has anyone had an arrhythmia?
