UPDATE
well we got SOME answers (and I say that cautiously). anyway they did a modified barium swollow on her which means she drinks a contrast and they take pictures of her drinking and see if its trickling into her airways. well it is BUT a positive note she is stopping it before it gets too far so she is pretty much preventing it from happening. On the flip side she as acid reflux so she is throwing up her milk when she drinks it. So we have had to add 2 tspn of oatmeal to her milk everytime she eats. if she nurses she is ok, but anything from a bottle she has to have consistency or she chokes on it and spits it up. so its taken 3 days in the hospital to figure this out!
Now they have a tube down her nose into her stomach to measure how much acid is actually coming up which i know it is not alot because she has only spit up once in 24 hours. so it cant be but so much? (im no Doctor- I should be though after all this!
)
So thats where we stand now if the tube in her nose test comes back ok we can go home tomorrow otherwise we have to figure out how to control this acid...
