I have a May baby as well. YOu should come to the May Mommy, 2005 Playgroup! Anyway, my guy, had a horrid time taking food too. He didn't want it if it had textures, he didn't want very much of it, if it came on a spoon, and even now he is barely putting things in his mouth. It was only 6 days ago he accepted something textured in his mouth without spitting it out, and he is over 10.5 mo. old. Just keep trying. Try different things. I finally gave him some barley (we are avoiding wheat, due to potential allergies) biter/teething bisquits and let him go to town. He figured it out and liked that. Just keep offering/trying. He should get the hang of it, and as long as he isn't thin or something, I wouldn't worry about it, at all.
