I got a call from Leah's daycare this morning about another fever. It's low-grade - 100 degrees. I just took her to the pediatrician last week and he said it's teething related. Her top two molars are coming in and she's been whiny for a week, not eating as much, waking at night, etc. There is no sign of infection.

I told them this but they still want one of us to come pick her up because "you just never know". Um yes, I DO know. And so does her pedi. It's her MOLARS. And then they tell me that in addition to the fever, she didn't eat much of her breakfast. DUH, because her mouth HURTS right now!

Grrrrr.

I called back and asked if she could just stay and take a nap there since it was coming up on naptime (she'll usually sleep from 11:30 - 2:30). And they're like, "Sure, but would someone be able to come get her after that?" UGH.

This is the third time in three weeks. And it's SO aggravating when we KNOW it's nothing else.

So, I'll probably leave work around 3 or so just so they don't freak out. And DH & I are going to start actively looking into in-home childcare. We've been thinking about it for a month or so, and this has kind of pushed us over the edge. Leah doesn't adapt to change too easily and we can tell that she's been extra "stressed" since moving from the infant room to the toddler room. So I would prefer to find one person that she can develop a real relationship with.

If you read all this, grab a cookie.
