That sounds frustrating! Carrie is transitioning to toddlers this week too and it is hard. I think we were both so comfortable in the infant room..I loved all the individual attention she got in there. Her teacher was so so sweet. Now she is in with these kids that seem HUGE, but she seems to be holding her own.

It sounds to me like they were asking you to pick her up, not telling you you had to. I'd say "No, I won't be able to pick her up today" and leave it at that. Let them be mad if they want, I think they are being unreasonable. We'd all like to stay home with our kids when they are grumpy or have the sniffles but you can't keep your job like that. You've got to save the sick days for when the kids are really sick.
