the heart rate has obsolutely nothing to do with the gender. the heart rate could be higher when the baby is awake and lower when its sleeping. I asked my dr, a nurse and US tech about it, they all said its just an old wives tale, heartrate only matters after they are born, becuase girls are usually higher than boys.

mines always been around 163 with this one. dont know what im havign until the 16th.. everyone says im having a girl based on the heartrate... my sons was always 150's some 160's... like i said, nothing to do with gender.
