holy... I have NO clue how I would react to that. I'd be filled with anger and a sense of relief at the same time that my son is ok. That is definitely one of the most immature actions I have ever heard of. I would definitely end that friendship, but not press charges. I would hope however that 911 would somehow legally punish her for wasting their time.
