You may have ovulated on the 24th but it could have been a couple days after. The last day that you see or feel fertile cm is your peak day. That is the day you would most likely ovulate. I don't usually ovulate the last day I see fertile cm though. For me, it is usually a couple days after so I always give myself a 2 day window.

During menstruation your cervix is normally low but my cervix was really low when I got my bfp last time. It doesn't always move to a high position right away. But, my cervix felt very firm and closed when I was pregnant and not soft or open. So AF may be on the way. I would try not to read too much into your cervix position though.
