Hi! As to your question about how accurate the HSG is...I don't know how common this is, but I had an inaccurate diagnosis from mine.

My RE performed an HSG and said my right tube was completely blocked and that my left tube was so-so.

I had a laparoscopy about 9 months later and found out that my tubes were both totally clear! From what I've been told, sometimes the tube can spasm during the HSG and that spasm can mimic a blockage.

I wish I would have had my lap. immediately after my HSG to really find out what was going on in there.

Has your RE mentioned a lap?
