Like the other girls were saying though, keep in mind that most are safe - its like anything. Kids die in playpens when parent's don't keep them maintained and don't watch the child. The number one warning on everything - never leave children unattended. Do that (which is pretty easy when the kid is like attached to you LOL) then you should be fine.
Personally, I think that warning should come as a birth mark on kids that they grow out of at 18 - but that's just me
