I'm "guilty" of eating things on the no-no list (lunch meats are my usual vice). After having sushi only *once* since I got pregnant back in Dec. 2007, I said "Screw it!" last night. Japanese women live on this stuff and they have plenty of healthy babies! =D So I got some Tsunami Rolls at Target. They were *so* delicious!! lol
Thankfully, I haven't had people trying to impart their "knowledge" upon me (except maybe my mom) or making rude comments. I am like many of you that I just get *so* annoyed with people sometimes ... but I'm like that normally ... so imagine when pregnancy hormones kick in!! Usually the brunt of my annoyance is focused on my step-son, who just seems to know how to irritate the piss out of me. But he's a teenager, and I think that's part of their job! =D
As for the woman on the phone inducing labor two weeks early ... my opinion is that unless it's medically necessary, inductions and c-sections should not be performed, especially early! I was induced and had an epidural but I was 41.5 weeks carrying a 9lb baby ... he didn't need to "cook" any longer! Thankfully, my induction went smoothly and I had a fantastic birth experience ... but I know many women don't. So why put those added risks onto your labor and delivery? Seems silly to me.
Anyway ... let's just hope all the nosy busy bodies stay out of our way ... and the annoying people keep their mouths shut so they don't have pregnant women "attacking" them for being whiny! =D
