Thanks for all the congrats ladies!

Violet Marie was born at home on 3/24 at 2:16pm (Pacific time). Total labor from first contraction to delivery was 9 hours and 16 minutes. I was ready to push at 6 hours in but her head was caught on my pelvic bone and a tiny bit of cervix. We could tell that her head was positioned a bit sideways. My body was pushing on its own because I needed to push, but it kept irritating that last bit of cervix making it harder to get her down the birth canal. We tried a bunch of different positions and I kept breathing through the contractions and trying not to push until she was in a better place. At 2pm we felt her rotate a bit and she came out right after that. She came out face-up and she has a bit of a conehead and some head bruising from that positioning. I'll write up a more in-depth birth story soon!

She weighs 8lbs, 5oz and is 19.25 inches. She's nursing great and I'm feeling fantastic!

Here she is:

Here's me with the girls (not the best pic of me):
