Your question was -
Does your son learn Italian in school? Does he go to an American school?"
Both boys go to DoD school on post. Derrick was to old to attend the italian schools. We needed to make sure he got the necessary curriculum to graduate high school in the US. Now Xavier was the perfect age(4) to go to an asilo (translated it's asylum but references as daycares), however, in the asilo in our town there wasn't one english speaking person, therefore, this would have been very hard and frustrating for him. If we are still here when Peyton is 3(most likely not) she will be going to the asilo.
There are many military families that send their kids to the italian schools. These kids are forced to learn italian quick and they do great. Had xavier been a more patient kid I would have sent him to the italian school, but he gets frustrated very easily. So we didn't think he would do well...
