Before I was pregnant I found out that I had an insulin resistance so it was no surprise I got GD BUT my fertility doctor suggested Aunt Hattie's Low Carb bread. There's 7 carbs a slice and I'm allowed 30-45 carbs depending on the meal so I have a sandwich, french toast with sugar free syrup, grilled cheese, a patty melt, whatever and I never go over. This also allows me to have a my main food and a low carb side so I can have a complete meal.

My doctor told me no milk and no fruit for breakfast too because it can hike up your number and spoil your day which was surprising to me!

If you have to eat out do your homework and you'll be surprised what information is actually out there on the actual restaurant website or sites that make it their job to look for you. There's usually always an option (although I'm trying to figure out what to eat at Olive Garden).

If you want something sweet I really like Blue Bunny sugar free desserts. Yum!
