Recipe share!
Had a yummy talk tonight at chat... and had fun sharing sites and recipe ideas...

So, let's share some of our faves!

Post some of your favorite recipes (any meal or dessert or appetizer!) or links to recipe places you love to browse ;)

I've got one for cookies that you'll love but I have to find it through some PR buddies... I can't remember it and it is supposed to REALLY up your milk production while nursing! I'll post it later!

TACO SOUP: Taco Soup

Well this is not MY recipe but it is what we had for dinner last night. I was worried as it is vegetarian and well my family is not (except for the baby, Scarlett appears to be toying with the idea of being a vegetarian) So to make up for the lack of meat I added a healthy cheese garnish, a daub of sour cream, green onions and diced avacado and this dish was great! I also broke up tortilla chips into mine.

Re: Recipe share!
Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Pie

My basic peanut butter pie recipe:
8oz cream cheese
3/4 cup con. sugar
1/2 cup Creamy peanut butter
6 Tablespoons of milk
1 8oz container of cool whip
1 graham crust

In mixing bowl beat cream cheese until fluffy.
Add sugar and PB and mix well.
Add milk gradually
Fold in cool whip and mix well
Spoon into crust
Chill overnight

Okay, that is the basic peanut butter pie recipe. It is great on its own.

Now, to make this into the chocolate covered PB pie, do the following.

You will need one more container of cool whip and a jar of Smuckers hot fudge ice cream topping.

Chill basic pie as stated above. At least 2 hours. Then cover pie in a layer of Smuckers hot fudge... ice cream topping. You will need to heat hot fudge for about 30 seconds. Immediately put pie back into the fridge for an hour or longer. Then top with cool whip and you can drizzle peanut butter or hot fudge on top of cool whip to decorate. I use a ziploc bag.. but pb in bag, snip corner of bag and squeeze. Alternating choc and pb makes it really pretty.
The chocolate is very rich... but so yummy. ENJOY!!

Bacon and Cheese Omelet

12 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
6 slices white or yellow (or some of both) american cheese
8 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk

Beat together eggs and milk. Add crumbled bacon and cheese torn into small pieces. Add salt and pepper, to taste. Butter a pie plate, square, or rectangular baking dish. Pour in mixture. Bake @ 350 for 40 minutes.

Our family's traditional Christmas breakfast, but good anytime of the year, anytime of the day. ENJOY!

Zesty Ravioli Skillet

1/3 c. Heavy Whipping Cream
4 c. Fresh Baby Spinach Leaves (loosley packed)
6 oz. Provolone Cheese, grated
1 T. Olive Oil
3 Garlic Cloves
2 cans Diced Tomatoes with Onions, drained
1/2 t. Salt
1/2 t. Coursely Ground Black Pepper
1 pkg. Small Frozen Cheese ravioli (about 65)
Halved Grape Tomatoes (optional)

Measure cream. Wash spinach and drain. Grate cheese (she sliced hers). Set the cream, spinach and cheese aside.
Add oil to 12 inch skillet. Heat over medium-high heat 1-3 minutes or until simmering. Add garlic to skillet. Cook and stir 15-20 seconds or until fragrant.

Add tomatoes, salt and black pepper. Cook and stir for 1-2 minutes. Add ravioli, stir to coat. Cook uncovered 4-5 minutes or until tender. Stir in cream. Cook, uncovered 1-2 minutes or until simmering. Sprinkle spinach over ravioli. Cook, covered 1 minute or until spinach starts to wilt.

Remove skillet from heat. Top with cheese; cover. Let stand 1-2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Garnish with grape tomatoes, if desired.

I was going to ask if it was the Monster Cookie recipe, Gwynne. They are SO DELISH!!!

I used to mix up a batch and then only make 6 at a time so I could eat them when they were warm and gooey. Not sure if it was the oatmeal or all the milk I would drink with them, but they definitely increased supply! I've used chocolate chips in place of the m&ms too.

Oh geez, now this has me wanting some! :D

Re: Recipe share!
I use and tweak the stuff at Recipe.com a lot.

I love the crockpot365 blog too! One of my fave recipes from there is Crockpot Bacon and Cheese Chicken. Here at out house, we call it Teriyaki Ranch Chicken with Garlic Potatoes, and I usually cook it up on the stove instead of in the crock. This is comfort food to its max!!!

I'll have to pull out my menu list and see if there's anything else worth posting. :) I already posted the chicken spaghetti recipe, and it's easy peasy. :shrugs:

I'm sure you could! I forgot to add on there, i'm usually lazy and don't want to cook the chicken too, so I buy a already cooked rotisserie chicken, and shred it. I also boil all the stuff with chicken broth instead of water. :)
