Hot!

Does anyone else have a toddler that is overly concerned with food being hot?

Dominic is a bit extreme with this. Anything that is even slightly warm he calls "hot" and needs to be reassured several times that it's actually edible. He blows on it and waits forever until it's practically cold to eat it! If I try to give him a bit he spits it all out and says hot even though I was extra careful to make sure it wasn't

Speaking of annoying eating habits, he also had the full hand wipe down on his shirt down pat

DS is the opposite with that, unless we actually tell him it's hot he just pops it in his mouth. I have to serve his food first then give it to him last just to make sure he doesn't burn himself.

Good luck getting him to eat warm food.

Nope, Keelan doesn't mind hot foods at all. In fact, he'll frequently eat it before it's cooled enough and spit it out. :giggle:

Nope, Layla doesn't check. If we tell her it's hot she blows on it.
DS is like that with water (washing hands and showers).

I'm paranoid about this all the time . . .that I will give Adele something too hot. Usually she gets warm food and by the time she's finished eating its ice cold.

No, he eats it even if it's hot. He actually cries if I try to cool it off in the refrigerator first. He always acts as if he's starving.

Re: Hot!

My three year old does :\ He will sit there going "HOT! HOT!" even when it is barely warm..... Izzy, however, will shovel it in and burn her mouth unless I remind her with every single bite that it is hot so she will blow on it.
