Routine?

Do you have a daily/weekly/monthly family routine? Something that you do on a specific day/week of a month?

From Sunday night through Friday afternoon, I work 7:30 to 4 - pick up the boys from daycare, and go home. It's just the three of us. From Friday afternoon through Sunday night, I have all three of the kids by myself. For awhile, all of us (including DH) would do something together like an outdoor activity on Saturdays. But that has stopped due to DH being stubborn and irrational.

Ever since we separated, Emily lives with DH at his parent's house because her daycare is right down the street. The boys' daycare is near my house. It's complicated, annoying, and sad for the kids. But that's how it is. We're moving next Friday into a new house - all of us. I'm both excited and terrified.

Sort of. I mean Mason is on a schedule during the day. Evenings are a little different every night. Monday's and Wednesday's DD has gymnastics class. The only thing that is the same every night is bedtime. Mason bathed and in bed by 7pm and DD showered and in bed by 7:45 (sometimes later). We typically do dinner around 5:30 and Sunday's are typically a day of grocery shopping and preparing meals for the week.

Monday-Fridays are kinda the same.

Breakfast roughly around 7am (girls), 8am (Sebastian)
We pick DD1 from the school bus @ 11:30am
Nap time is 12:30-3pm or so
We pick DD2 from the school bus @ 4pm
Dinner around 6:30pm (DH gets home then)
Baths are 7:30pm
Sebastian bedtime around 8pm
Girls bedtime 8:30pm

Weekends, the only thing that's the same are meals & sleeptime.

Gio has finally been keeping to his 1 nap schedule which he goes to sleep at some time between noon and 1pm. The meals aren't exactly on schedules, i mean it's in the same general time every day but i'm not watching the clock for it so the nap is really the only thing i keep to strictly. Oh and bedtime, he goes to bed by 9pm (if i put him to sleep any earlier he'll be up at the crack of dawn lol)

Not really. We don't really have any routine :shrugs: apart from Scott going to work. Eve doesn't have a routine because there is no "need" for us to. Not yet anyway. Once we start homeschooling I'll probably get a bit more organised haha.

Yeah - it's gonna seem strange at first, I'm sure. I can't believe it's all happening this Friday.

Same with Gabby.

We do not really have a routine, there is no need for one really. I allow Drake to nap when he is tired, and I allow him to wake when he is ready. The same goes for bedtime. It works for us.

Re: Routine?

Joe put himself on his daily routine and I am quite OK with that ;) Monday through Friday he wakes up between 7 and 8 every morning, he has a cup of milk and a diaper change then we take his sister to school. He naps anywhere between 12 and 1 for about 2 hours (sometimes 3). We get his sister at 330 then from there the day varies...Amber dances Monday nights and I have Church obligations Tuesdays and Fridays, Joe goes to bed at 730. Weekends are a mess, he wakes up, naps, and falls asleep at the same time but what we do between it all changes because of what we have going on and with Tim's schedule. Amber also dances on Sundays, and she has Girl Scouts. All that is mixed in with performances, birthday parties, camping, sleepovers and trying to spend whatever time we can together as a family.... We are just crazy on weekends ;)

We do have a daily routine through the week but I'm not rigid. I do like to go to story time at the library. Saturdays are the most non-routine since we like to do family stuff or hang with friends...and Sunday we go to church.

Re: Routine?

Yes,we have "loose" routines:

breakfast at 8ish, lunch at noonish, dinner at 530ish, and bedtime at 7/730ish.
Dahlia is transitioning between 2 naps and 1 at this point, so that's not very consistent lately.
Sunday is church, leave at 730am then lunch at 1.
Bedtime routine is always the same.
