I got walked in on

For the first time yesterday someone walked in on me while I was pumping at work. I pump in an unused office that doesn't have a lock on the door. I don't put a sign on the door because no one ever goes in that room and it's right next to the nursing station so the nurses always know when I'm in there. Well one of the nurses forgot and decided to put some cardboard boxes in there to get them out of the way. I think she was more embarrassed than I was. But I may have to start using a sign from now on.

Thankfully, it was a woman! ;) When I was pumping for Akadia at work, I had my door closed and locked and that didn't stop the maintenance guy from unlocking it and walking right in. I ducked under my desk and told him to WAIT! Thankfully, I'm on good terms with him and we just laughed about it, but he learned his lesson really quick not to assume I'm out!

It wouldn't bother me, but my friend has been walked in on at her job, even with multiple signs, lol!

I have to pump in a bathroom stall :( its really sad. There isn't anywhere else. I kinda hate it. I use a hand pump Cuz there is no outlet close enough and my electric pump freezes. I work in a cold room with fruit.

When I was working we had cubicles. I was not going to pump in the bathroom, so I informed the entire floor that I would be installing a shower curtain and I'd be pumping in my cube! If that curtain was closed and you didn't want a shock, I suggested you not push it aside. LOL My poor co-workers had to hear the pump though. Oh well, I never cared much. It wasn't too long after I was done pumping that they decided to set up a nursing room. Lucky ladies got couches and privacy, but someone had to pave the way. I'm glad I had such a supportive company though.
