cloth wipes
So I am on board with CD and I figured since I was doing cloth diapers I might as well do cloth wipes too. For the mamas who use them too what do you use for cloth wipes?? I am thinking on using the thin baby wash rags but want to know if there are better options. Fire away!!

Re: cloth wipes
I have a little bit of both. I have some irregulars I bought kn a seconds sale from blueberries, some thirsties that I won on eBay, and thin/thick washcloths. We just use warm water with them. :)

Re: cloth wipes
flannel, I just go to the fabric store. Find what is marked down and use them OR old receiving blankets :) cut to the sizes you want and bam!

Re: cloth wipes
I just cut up all those millions of flannel receiving blankets I had lying around. They fray on the edges if you don't surge them, so if you're using cloth with velcro or aplix the strings might get caught, but this hasn't been a big enough issue for me to buy actual wipes. They still work just fine even if they're not pretty. Old tshirts would work really well because they wouldn't fray at all.

Re: cloth wipes
We got:

Cloth-eez® Flannel Wipes
Green Mountain Diapers: Cloth Diapering Accessories

and some irregulars from some clearance sale one time. Those are flannel too.

We need some more but we think we're going to find something around here to cut up and surge the edges of. Flannel blankets may be the way we go too.

Re: cloth wipes
Baby washclothes are fine at first, but when Baby starts having real poops they start to seem too small. :)

At Wal-Mart you can buy a package of like 25 washcloths for $4. I've also used cut-up receiving blankets but they fray real bad if you don't hem them, and I really hate sewing. Cut-up t-shirts are great, too... those don't need to be hemmed.

Re: cloth wipes
i plan on using cloth wipes.. i have actually made some.. from the clearance bin at the fabric store.. if you know how to sew its easy and super quick.. however.. using a small baby wash rag will probably be just as good.. a friend of mine told me she just keeps a spray bottle of this safe to use on baby cleaning spray.. however.. i can see why spray just plan water to wet it a little wouldn't be bad at all either.. just to clean the bottom ;)

Re: cloth wipes
A girl my son's PR has her own CD business and she makes awesome fitted diapers! She also makes cloth wipes. That's what I use. I have 2 packs of 10wipes each. I didn't use cloth wipes until my son was almost a year old. I feel like such a dummy for not doing it earlier! So much easier to use them with cloth diapers. Her diapers are called earthLINGZ. Her facebook page will come up if you type that in the search window. She also has a "groupies" page where you can buy/sell/trade her stuff. She has an etsy page with a few items, including the wipes. 10 Pack Hemp Fleece Cloth Wipes CHOOSE YOUR by earthLINGZdiapers The wipes are great but just a tad small. I love them though!! And her fitted diapers made me a lover of fitteds. I normally hate them. :)

For wipe solution, I just make my own: baby wash, baby oil, water, and a few drops of tea tree oil and lavendar. Works great!
