Re: OB
Male. I've had both and can't say that I prefer one over the other but this guy is supposed to one of the best in Houston with regards to vbac.

Re: OB
Male. I don't have a gender preference really but he's awesome!

Re: OB
Male. I've never been to a female OB/GYN but my doctor is wonderful.

Re: OB
Male and he is awesome and handsome! I've never had a female OB so I cant compare the two.

Re: OB
My regular OB is a female and my high risk Dr is a male.

Re: OB

Re: OB
Male, I was a Godsend when my friend was in labor so I decided to try him.

Re: OB
Female. I had a male deliver my boys though. I'm excited to have a female ob again. She's also a friend and she's just awesome.

Male. I've seen him since before dd was conceived and he's wonderful. He delivered dd and was there during ds delivery. Ds was actually delivered by his female student doctor/intern doctor while my OB was in the room. Both deliveries were smooth sailing.

Re: OB
Our clinic has both and you see whoever they schedule you with. I was lucky enough the last pregnancy to be able to see one main MW for most of my appointments. I think I saw a different MW once and an actual OB 3 times. Once male, 2 times a female.

Re: OB
Both, practice is female and male obs and widwives. You see whoever unless you request to see a certain person.

Re: OB
Female. I'm too shy to have a man see my woman parts lol other than my DH of course ;)

Re: OB
All of the Obs at the practice I go to are women, however my Gyn is a man. (He's "retired" from Obstetrics and only practices gyn in that office now, so when I'm pregnant I get handed over to the Obs)

Re: OB
Female, just by chance. I love her! But I have no preference!

Diamond2009 January 7th, 2013 05:57 PM

Re: OB
I have a female....i've had a male with my first DD and loved him but i just prefer a female

Re: OB
My midwife is female but now that I think of it, I've had better experiences overall with males than females. I haven't met this midwife yet.

alittlelost January 7th, 2013 07:20 PM

Re: OB
my midwife is female. I've never had much luck with male doctors. they might know how a woman's body works, but they don't understand a woman's mind, and that's just as important to me--especially during pregnancy.

Babsbabies January 8th, 2013 10:01 AM

Re: OB
I'm at a group of all female midwives. My last OB was male and the first one was female.
