Bottle feeding
I'm starting to pump breast milk for my baby.. Do you give bottles at room temperature or do you give them right out of the fridge?

Re: Bottle feeding
I warm them to body temperature (if you put a drop of milk a=on your wrist after heating it you should not be able to tell it is there, this also helps you tell if it is to warm or to cold!) Creighton is picky and wont take it if it is to cold, and for him room temp is to cold :(

Yeah, I think it's a personal preference thing. Dd1 would only take warm milk. Plus, breast milk is fatty. I think it separates. And I don't think you can really shake it because it's delicate. Same reason why you shouldn't heat it too much.

Re: Bottle feeding
I warm the bottle in a nice hot bowl of water. I wouldn't give it straight out of the fridge.

Re: Bottle feeding
I FF but I was using the pre-made formula and I would also put it in a bowl of hot water to warm it up.

Now I'm dealing with the powder but I cheat by keeping the jug of nursery water kind of close to the heater so it stays warm. :p

Re: Bottle feeding
FF and room temp, i make all the bottles up with water during the day and leave them on the worktop and then just add the powder as and when he wants to feed.
