This may seem silly but...

why is my milk looking greasy when its defrosted and put in a bottle? Seriously...it is really greasy. Gross! It leaves a greasy film in the bottle. Is that fat?? Is it normal?? I don't remember that happening with my other 2.

Normal. It's the fats, it separates when frozen. Just shake it very well before feedings

I noticed this last night for the first time! I assumed the bottle wasn't washed properly. Glad it's normal!

Yup normal! When I use breastmilk in a bottle I see a thin film of fat, too. It's just the natural fats in your milk, they are important for baby's brain!

As an EP'er, I can tell you it's totally normal and like everyone else said, it's the fats! Don't shake it though! Shaking actually breaks up the good stuff in the milk - the amino acid chains, etc. Just swirl it gently to mix it.

I never knew exactly why you weren't supposed to shake it. Now I know! Thank you :) I'm always curious about little things like that...when someone tells you not to do something, but doesn't explain why, it always bugs me! lol.
