Swelling question

Do you swell evenly? Or does one side tend to be more swollen then the other? My right ankle and calf is quite a bit more swollen then my left.

Re: Swelling question

My right ankle swells more than my left, but I also sit more naturally with that one dropped down and the other up often.

Re: Swelling question

I just noticed my left outer ankle is puffy/swollen after my shower this morning. Hoping it's nothing, but going to have husband check my bp when he gets home (I have to watch for pre-e). I shouldn't have googled it b/c I'm reading uneven swelling can also be a sign of blood clots, which my dr discussed with me last appt due to veracose vein issues in my right leg.

Re: Swelling question

I swell pretty evenly on both sides. Luckily it's manageable this pregnancy and goes away after I put my feet up for awhile. I had horrible edema and swelling with DD that wouldn't go away even after I put my feet up. It was constant and didn't fully go away until a couple days after she was born. My BP was always within normal range so it had nothing to do with that.

Blah.. swelling's certainly more common now and for me, it's fairly evenly distributed between right and left side. Fingers and ankles/feet seem to be the worst!

Re: Swelling question

It seems like maybe my joints are getting stiff instead of me swelling? Maybe swelling inside them?

Whichever side I sleep on is worse.

Re: Swelling question

I definitely swell evenly. It sucks. I'm ALWAYS swollen! It's terrible. I am even having a hard time closing my hands all the way as of late and I've just recently started experiencing the Carpal Tunnel of pregnancy. Every morning I wake up and everything from my elbow down on my right arm is completely numb. It's very strange.

Re: Swelling question

Hmm. I never really noticed that one side was worse than the other. No swelling yet but I will remember to notice this time.
