2 hours is very normal at his age. During the nights, it was hard at first but then my body would program itself to know I had two hours to sleep and if he slept a minute longer, it would seem like I would already be sort of awake waiting for that first cry. I watched tv, played on the internet (of course with dim lighting to not wake him too much) and my husband would sit up sometimes and talk with me so I wouldnt get sleepy. At 7 weeks we started cosleeping and what a difference. I'd just lay on my side, pull him close and nurse and when he would doze off, I'd just slide him back into his bed. It made it much easier.

During the night it would cross my mind that it would be so much easier to have dh go make a bottle but I didnt. If you supplement, you need to pump when you are skipping that nursing session or your supply is not going to be enough.

Also, try to make sure you are nursing long enough for him to get the hindmilk. 2 hours is very normal, but you want to be sure he's getting the good rich milk and not just the foremilk.

There is light at the end of the tunnel! There will come a time when you wont leak, be engorged, or nurse every 2 hours (I nurse once a night at 5am) Good Luck!
